I am a highly motivated, multiskilled CMA (AAMA) with 25 years of experience in the field. I have extensive knowledge of medical policies and procedures and I have been a strongly dedicated employee to my employers. I have enjoyed my years as a traditional medical assistant and as an office manager.
I currently work as an admin. CMA (AAMA). I work on patient advice messages, prior authorizations of medications, patient calls and occasional rooming process.
My primary role was office manager, but I also was the referral coordinator and HIPAA compliance officer. I would also do any necessary clinical duties or front office duties as needed as well as ordering supplies. I multitasked to improve office efficiency.
Highlights of my time at RFMA include doing anything necessary to get the new practice up and running, I brought in Vaxcare, a 3rd party vendor to provide the office with vaccines at no cost to the provider. I incorporated Baptist epic care, UK epic and St. Joseph epic. Also, LabCorp link. Before I left I was working on the office participating in an ACO in order to provide better patient preventative care measures and more revenue to the office.
I roomed patients for Dr. ODaniel, Courtney Dray, PA, Jennifer Hitt, PA and Elizabeth Briggs, APRN. I also did PA's, returned patient calls, and for Dr. O'Daniel, wrote out scripts.
I was the office float so I returned patient calls, was responsible for drop in injections, did some referrals and roomed patients when needed. I was also on call after hours with 2 providers during their weekday or weekends on call. That involved being available to answer any questions from parents over the phone.
