Description of Unit
NICU (Level 1 and 2) is committed in giving the full range of services in the region to well, sick and critically ill newborn babies. It has a total of 37 beds which includes 7 incubators and 30 bassinets. The unit is divided into NICU, Septic-in, Septic-out, Isolation and Well Babies. The Patient/Nurse Ratio for NICU patients is 1 nurse to 1 or 2 patients; Septic-in/out is 1 nurse to 5 patients; Isolation is 1 nurse to 1 patient; Well Baby is 1 nurse to 8 patients.

Description of Unit (General Ward)
This area has a 37 bed capacity divided into 2 pediatric wards (one with 5 beds and the other with 4 beds), 1 general ward (3 beds), and 25 private rooms. It manages a wide variety of acute general pediatric, obstetric, medical and surgical patients. Functional Nursing is the mode of patient care. The Nurse/Patient ratio is 2 nurses to 18-19 patients.
