I am currently a third-year Physician Assistant student at Florida State University, set to graduate on December 9, 2024. With a strong foundation in clinical training and hands-on experience gained during my studies, I am equipped with comprehensive knowledge in patient centered care. • Performed alcohol abuse/misuse screening, Anxiety screening GAD-7, domestic violence screening, Depression screening tool PHQ9 & PHQ2, CAGE tool substance abuse screening, cognitive assessments Mini-COG & MoCA
• Independently administered intramuscular injections for various psychiatric medications such as Spravato
• Assisted with ketamine infusion, electric convulsive therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation

Pediatrics, Community Health Center

• Performed a complete and focused history and physical examination on an infant, child, and adolescent patient and documented findings in EMR
• Conducted well-child visits, neonatal visits, childhood immunization screening, developmental assessment, anticipatory guidance, and pediatric fever assessment
• Diagnosed pediatric illnesses such as acute otitis media, strep pharyngitis, influenza, RSV, and acute sinusitis
• Calculated pediatric dosages for different medications
• Assisted in ADHD and autism screening visits

General Surgery, Advent Health Orlando

• Observed and assisted in surgeries such as hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, Nissen fundoplication’s, carotid enterectomy and stenting, small bowel resections
• Performed pre-op sterile scrubbing, donning and doffing sterile gloves & gown, maintained a sterile field, and performed subcutaneous, interrupted, & running sutures for wound closure
• Evaluated and followed up with patient postoperatively, performed post-op wound inspections, and wound dressings
• Completed H&Ps for patients using the electronic medical record EPIC

Geriatrics, Westminster Towers, Lutheran Towers

• Gained experience in geriatrics with special attention placed on characteristics of aging, end-of-life care, assisted living, nursing care, elder abuse, health promotion, and maintenance
• Developed clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and in the development and execution of individualized patient-centered management plan
• Listened intently to patients and worked alongside the care team to address concerns, analyze lab results, perform medication reviews, Medicare wellness visits, and functional assessments

Family Medicine, Hunt Club Medical Center

• Performed complete and focused history and physical examination on adolescent, adult, and elderly patients and documenting findings in EMR
• Diagnosed and assisted in the treatment of multiple medical conditions such as unstable angina, type 2 diabetes mellitus, bacterial pneumonia, and hypertension
• Performed and interpreted EKGs, chest x-ray, hyperlipidemia/ statin use screening, hypertension screening, blood tests, pap smears, STI screenings, and HIV screenings
• Performed minor procedures such as skin biopsy, cryotherapy, incision and drainage, and ear irrigation
