• Began building my adult English language teaching experience as a volunteer at the ESLC, assisting the lead teacher by teaching one class per week. After 3 months I applied to become a part-time staff instructor.
• Currently lead instructor for two emergent reader classes meeting in total five times a week. Each class meets in a community center localized for the convenience of the students attending.
• Student demographic: Serving refugee populations living at or below the poverty level; who did not progress beyond a 6th grade education; and never had the opportunity to learn to read or write in their own language.
• Level of Instruction: Basic literacy skills, with a great variety of experience and ability within a classroom and am therefore required to draw upon multiple teaching strategies and methodologies to meet the needs of and challenge all students.
• Substitute in intermediate classrooms as well and enjoy a great rapport.
• Am excited by the challenge of teaching all levels and helping students to lift themselves up to a greater understanding of themselves, their environment, and their potential.
• Often have opportunities to teach students online via WhatsApp web during breaks and building closures

• Instructed children and youth from grades Preschool-6th in the English language.
• Used proprietary VIPKid curriculum and expanded upon learning objectives to maximize student learning.
• Communicated with parents after each class and instructed them on methods to utilize outside of the online classroom for continued improvement.
• Maintained a near perfect parent review rating. Utilized numerous professional training offered to teaching staff through VIPKid.

• Provided sole support to the Training department business manager, training managers, and thirty plus employees.
• This included managing calendars, ordering supplies, managing training room use, minute/note taking, project support, travel arrangement for training managers & department trainers, and other duties & tasks as assigned.
• Purchased general office supplies and conducted additional purchasing in relation to training manager projects and special office supplies.
• Reconciled department budget monthly with business manager. Conducted training on course registration and room reservation programs as needed.
• Participated as presenter for a 20-minute segment at the New Employee Orientations on a weekly basis.
• Completed a formal course on introductory instructional design and created new training on the room reservation program, Astra.
• Trained departmental employees on the room reservation system, Astra, and online course registration system, Moodle, and personally created the training course

• Provided sole administrative support of day-to-day activities for the Associate Dean for Student & Professional Development and the Associate Dean for Research
• Maintained calendars & established priorities; scheduled appointments & meetings; coordinated travel itinerary with travel agency, hotels, and conference registration.
• Prioritized, organized and made arrangements for meetings with individuals within the School as well as the broader University campus, and nationally.
• Collaborated with staff and faculty associated with the School’s Practicum and Continuing Education Offices to coordinate and support events, community meetings, etc.
• Responsible for the planning and conducting of frequent events related to both research and practicum operations within the School and local community, which resulted in greater positive public relations and increased cooperation between the School and city human service groups.
• Collaborated with the Development department on a UW-School of Social Work Research Calendar for which I was credited as a co-creator.

• Self-Reliance Specialist - Role included working with at-risk individuals and families to help secure food, job opportunities, and resources for financial and medical needs.
