• Completed a grad school clinical rotation with Double Talk Therapy and subsequently onboarded as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Following graduation, transitioned into a Clinical Fellowship Year, working toward completion of 1,260 supervised hours required for certification.

Currently completed 1,085/1,260 hours.

• Provide therapy in a lifespan private practice setting for patients ranging from infants to geriatric adults.
• Carrying out therapy for feeding, swallowing, articulation, language, voice, or cognitive communication based on the plan of care determined by the speech pathologist. Primary focus on myofunctional therapy to aid oral motor skills, working towards adequate articulatory movements and feeding/swallowing skills.
• Provide group therapy through the Dallas Parkinson’s Association (DAPS), implementing LSVT-based voice treatment, combined with cognitive-linguistic tasks, for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
• Perform formal assessments for initial and re-evaluations across personal and SLPA caseloads, as well as creating intervention plans for varying disorders.
• Work to continuously establish rapport with the patient and their family, and ensure progress for each of their goals.

• Assisted therapists in implementing speech and language treatment plans.

• Supported lead instructor in preparing lesson plans and instructional materials for courses for a pre-kindergarten classroom.

• Provide therapy in a home health setting to pediatric patients ranging from ages 1.5 years and up.
• Prepare lessons or activities based on therapy goals from the evaluation and assessments performed by the speech pathologist.
• Daily SOAP notes are recorded and documented at the end of each workday.
