Tomorrowland Attractions Trainer

  • Took on new cast members to the location; Space Mountain. Spending five days, eight hours a day teaching how to operate the attraction efficiently and safely for both the guests and themselves. Helped each trainee understand the science of the attraction and its operation to better understand their role when on the job. Training the trainees to be comfortable on their own.
  • Outside of training, I helped the regular cast make more efficient decisions and sat with them when they needed help. Updated people, periodically, on new procedures that the attraction was to be doing and making sure each cast member understood their role. Continued to be a reliant guide, role model and decision maker for all cast at that location.
  • Partnered with one other trainer and a manager to place safety boxes within the attraction, near the track. Went throughout the attraction with the other trainer and scoped out the best places to position these boxes. Used the current checklist and what it was asking to determine the best places to position the boxes. When the cast members are doing their morning checklist and track walk the boxes provide a safe place for them to stand while still being able to see everything they need. These safety boxes are the first of their kind between both Disneyland and California Adventure; it’s only been done in Walt Disney World.
