Controlling and extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military and governmental department.
Knowledge of basic and specialized airfield and structural firefighting equipment (fire alarm system operation, fire extinguishing equipment operation, etc.), techniques, and procedures.
Firefighting and Hazardous Material Response: Responding to aircraft, structural, and wildland fires, including military aircrafts (e.g., C-130, F-15, MQ-9 Reaper), and handling hazardous materials incidents. Also includes ventilation, overhaul, and preventative measures.
Medical & Rescue Services: Providing emergency medical care at the EMT level, including patient transport to medical facilities. Assisting with rescue operations, including confined space, and egress rescue.
Training & Instruction: Conducting training in fire protection, hazardous materials handling, and egress procedures for personnel.
Vehicle & Equipment Operations: Driving and operating various firefighting and rescue vehicles (e.g., Engine, ARFF, Ambulance, Tanker) and performing maintenance on firefighting tools and equipment.
