I have been with the same company for 35 years. I started by drawing maps manually working for past companies such as Worldcom. Moved up to training with Mapcom's computer program M4. I trained several employees and traveled to train others. I did contract work for Sprint thru Mapcom. I have worked for several different independent telephone companies where I digitized and maintained their entire phone exchanges. Then the industry shifted to more fiber projects.
Since 2019 I have been using Autocad, ArcGIS and ArcPRO, designing entire FTTH projects for several states: Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas, Texas. Not to brag too much, but here are just a few: Joplin, Carl Junction, Lebanon, Nixa, Clarksville, Kirksville, Barry county, Steamboat Springs, Lynx Pass, Keystone, Stagecoach, Hope, West Memphis. I have worked 60, 70 to 80 hours a weeks to make Government deadlines. These were so much fun, stressful, but so much fun. I am extremely proud of my designs!
