I am an instructional coach and Tennessee Accelerating Literacy and Learning Corps (TN ALL Corps) Coordinator with 29 years of dedication to student growth. • Formulate participant groups utilizing TCAP and benchmark data to ensure our system meets state department guidelines and program effectiveness.
• Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the TN Accelerating Literacy and Learning Corps program.
• Train and support staff who serve as literacy tutors within the program.
• Provide curriculum options for tutors.
• Maintain attendance records for all participants.
• Set and maintain goals in Renaissance and aimbswebPlus for all TN ALL Corps students.
• Analyze and maintain benchmarking and attendance for participants.
• Observe and collaborate with tutors.
• Manage ordering of materials to support the implementation of our program.
• Develop and implement customized reading intervention plans for students who are struggling with reading.
• Regularly track benchmark and progress monitoring data for RTI groups to inform placement decisions effectively.
• Provide professional development and training to teachers on effective reading instruction strategies and techniques.
• Set and maintain goals in Renaissance and aimbswebPlus for all TIER II and TIER III students.
• Monitor and analyze students' reading progress through assessments and data analysis in order to create RTI groups.
• Conduct assessments, including CTOPP, to identify potential characteristics of dyslexia in students.
• Coordinate all reading benchmark testing for kindergarten through third grade.
• Support the coordination of all Individualized Learning Plan-Dyslexia (ILP-D) testing for kindergarten through 8th grade.
• Supervise data for third and fourth-grade students and communicate with parents regarding the third-grade retention law as necessary.
• Supply teachers with benchmark and progress monitoring reports to facilitate effective communication with parents.
• Offer guidance and support to teachers in selecting appropriate reading materials and resources.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers on their reading instruction.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in reading instruction.
• Assist in the development of reading curriculum and instructional materials.
• Work with parents and guardians to provide strategies and resources for supporting their children's reading development.
• Collaborate with school leadership and other educators to create a school-wide culture of literacy.
• Serve as a resource and mentor for teachers looking to improve their reading instruction skills.
• Participate in professional learning communities and attend relevant conferences and workshops such as Read to Be Ready and Early and Secondary Literacy Training.
