Worked in Hematology department -morning shift 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Assigned to work in Coagulation-Stago Star Max 1& 2 analyser independently.Fill in the gap of full time Tech who need to go on vacation, mostly doing weekends shift. Worked in Covid testing using Diasorin & E Plex.

Work as Night Shift Tech. 7 nights on 7 nights off. Starting 6:30 pm to 6:30 am. Work solely & independently on all areas of the laboratory hematology doing body fluid manually, microbiology -grams staining on all stat requested by the physician specimens like CSF,body fluids and positive blood culture.Do antibody screening & electronic crossmatching

Covid testing , strep screening ,MRSA screening , GC screening ,Flu screening etc using PCR .Do maintenance on chemistry analyser, hematology analyser, urinalysis machine nightly, aside from routine testing like CBC,CMP,ESR,PT,APTT, etc .

Responsibilities -maintenance of OrthoVision Blood Bank Machine doing daily ,weekly or whatever in need maintenance.Running QC & troubleshooting.Do transfusion reaction investigation,Emergency Release of Blood unit.Downtime procedure.Hematology use SysmexXN2000,do body fluids CSF,peritoneal,synovial,pleural,pericardial fluid. Use of Hitachi Cobas 6000 Coagulation -use Stago I compact,Urinalysis-IRIS machine

Rotation on all areas of the laboratory-50 bed capacity.Do phlebotomy,especially newborn babies by venipuncture(butterflies).Do newbornscreening.Hematology-Coulter machine,Chemistry-Dimension.Blood Bank-tube method,anything positive for antibody screen-send out for ID.

Rotation in Hematology,Clinical Microscopy,Biochemistry,Blood Bank.Hospital has 3 branches,New Hospital-newly born babies,Old Hospital-Geriatic Patient & OPD-Outpatient. I did work in these 3 hospital also doing phlebotomy from babies to adult & geriatic patient while rotating in each section of the laboratory.

Biochemistry-consist of 24 staff. This is a 650 bed capacity.Running & maintenance of chemistry machine runs 100,000 patient a year,rotation on endocrinology,trace metal,drug monitoring,special protein analysis,urinalysis,small batch of miscellaneous examination & routine chemistries. Training of Omani students in practical aspect is one of my responsibilities.

Rotation in Chemistry,Hematology,Serology,Histopathology,Bacteriology,Parasitology,Clinical Microscopy. Do 24 hours rotation (on call) 14 days a month .Prepare reagents & rotation in different hospital where my employer was the manager of the laboratory namely Paranaque Medical Center, Baclaran General Hospital & Sta.
