I grew up as a generally normal kid. I had childhood friends from my neighborhood and we would play outside all day. I played football from the age of five all the way up to seventeen. I wrestled for four years throughout high school and I also started bowling when I was 8 years old. I loved watching my favorite cartoons with my brothers and cousin.
I deliver medical chairs around the upstate of South Carolina to patients that had or will have eye surgery. This job is very important to the people who have this surgery because if there are any complications they could permanently lose their eyesight. It takes great customer service skills and a will to be able to talk to people that don’t really have many people to talk to while also setting up, explaining, and showing the equipment to the patient and everything has to be perfect for their recovery to be successful.
I initially started working as a cook but I was quickly trained to be a server too. Once I got out of my comfort zone I learned how to communicate with people effectively and in a nice and respectful manner. I learned how to use POS systems, handle money, communicate with customers and co workers, and general cleaning skills.
This was my first job. I was new to earning a wage but it taught me important money management skills and also kickstarted my customer service career. I dealt with all types of people especially with it being a breakfast joint people would come in grumpy and tired from the night before but they were always welcomed with a warm smile and a kind heart from the host stand. I really enjoyed it.
I have been accepted into the University of South Carolina in Columbia and that is where I plan to attend, I plan to study sport and entertainment management, I have a 3.9 gpa. I have exceptional customer service and I am a very quick learner, I love talking to people and I can figure things out on the fly without much guidance. I am trustworthy and have big plans for the future. I qualified for state in wrestling my junior year, I have maintained a 3.7-3.9 GPA all throughout high school, and I won a scholarship from a bowling tournament at 12 years old
