I was forced to drop out of high school and go to work.
I started at Lamar outdoor adv. as a billboard installer and after about 2 years I became a supervisor for three different crews. One year later I became the Ops manager. I work their for 8 years. I then went to work for a sign company called Native signs which was bought out by Douglas Dist about 6 months of me working. I started as a sign installer/ sign electrician and after a year and a half became the Ops. manager. After 5 years the company was shut down and I was laid off. I wanted something different so I went to work at the Gainesville State School as a juvenile corrections officer. 2 years into working there I became a Supervisor over one of the dorms. I left the dorm to start an on campus work program. After 2 years of working with the youth, I went back to work on the dorms as a supervisor. After roughly 5 years on the dorm I was asked by the Superintendent to start a new work program teaching the youth how to maintain the facility grounds, strip and wax floors and paint.
