  • During this time at work, there was a day where our video playback system (BitCentral) was refusing to play any videos in channel A or B. It was bad enough to where they were discussing cancelling our shows. Thinking quickly, I managed to come up with a system to play videos through VLC Media Player and over air. I disabled HUD popups on VLC and made use of the keyboard shortcuts to basically run a miniature version of the director’s board through my graphics computer. This allowed us to move forward with all shows as planned, and didn’t lead to any lost revenue and looked clean over air. It was at this point that I was offered a position directing the shows, due to my understanding and trouble shooting helping the show go on no matter the issue.
