As a technician at southwest research institutes Surface Engineering Lab, My roles as a technician are as follows. I assist with maintaining 2 High Vacuum Chambers as well as conduct repairs such as replacing pumps, fabricating Gas line manifolds for flow into the chamber and the use of electronic multimeter for preventative/ corrective maintenance and troubleshooting. As well as using Solidworks to create 3D drawings to be sent to machine shop for fabrication and use inside the Laboratory.

• Set fourth team schedule and assigned daily work tasks to individual team members based upon strength and experience.
• Responsible for completion of multi-million dollar repairs on board various types of naval surface vessels.
• Trained new sailors on proper use of special support equipment, safety while working on and around Gas turbine engines.
• Motivated employees to achieve higher qualification and pointed out areas of improvement, which bolstered efficiency rates by 70%.
• Utilized hand tools and precision measuring equipment to conduct internal repairs on General Electric's LM2500, Rolls Royce K34 and K17 type engines
• Kept record of all steps completed, proper inspections required and lock out tag out measures needed to ensure safety of team members.
