I'm originally from the Ohio plant in Massillon as I started from the ground up as a temp employee working as an IP in February of '97. I got hired in as a Stockhandler in May of '97 and worked my way up the ladder. I went from Stockhandler, to Shipper A, to Traffic Coordinator, to Warehouse Supervisor, then to my current role as Warehouse Manager here at the Davenport facility the past 7.5 years.
Helped with the startup here at the Davenport facility and created the best productivity and efficiency numbers across all warehouse departments within the division.
Conduct periodic audits of inventory levels to ensure accuracy, identifying discrepancies for swift resolution.
Work diligently with the four shift supervisors to ensure all loads and tasks are completed in a safe, timely manner.
Work with the Traffic Coordinators to ensure we have enough available product and orders are routed in a timely manner.
Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and company policies.
Improved safety records, conducting thorough risk assessments with the teams.
Increased warehouse efficiency by implementing new inventory management systems and procedures.
Developed strong team of warehouse employees with comprehensive training programs and performance evaluations.
Complete timely and accurate daily logs to keep internal reporting accurate and track department numbers such as pounds shipped and warehouse cube.
Initiated cross-training programs to create more versatile and responsive workforce capable of covering multiple roles during peak periods.
Have maintained a solid working relationship with other departments within the company to streamline processes and improve communication, leading to better productivity with fewer errors and delays.
