• Mock Trial- Being a member of the Mock Trial Club, I participated in simulated court cases, sharpening my skills in legal reasoning public speaking, and persuasive arguments. Serving as both a witness and attorney gave me the opportunity to learn how to prepare witness testimony and give great case arguments. Not only did this experience really show me how I enjoyed a career in law, but it also helped me learn teamwork abilities and helped sharpen my critical thinking skills.
• MC L.E.A.D.S. Program- The program gave me an opportunity to enhance my leadership and professional development. Helped my career readiness competencies, and let me participate in a series of workshops throughout the semester designed to build connections, encourage idea sharing, and support growth. And it will continue to help me succeed as a student, employee, and leader, both during my time at Moorpark College and beyond.
• Speech and Debate Team-Being part of the Speech and Debate Team has been an incredible experience for me. This competitive extracurricular activity has really helped me develop my public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation skills. I participate in various formats, including debates where I argue for or against specific resolutions, often using structured formats like Policy, Lincoln-Douglas, and Public Forum.
• Online Entrepreneur- Being a part-time seller Depop, I was able to earn over $1,000+ in revenue and sell 100+ items by curating a trendy inventory and preparing attractive listings with high-quality pictures. I frequently utilized social media for advertising and promotion of my products. Doing this I developed useful pricing and promotional strategies and learned how to adapt to the current market trends. I even was able to learn quality control on my products making sure I only sold products with the highest quality. Not only did this experience grow my skills in business, it also grew them in marketing.
