During my previous semester of nursing school, I was introduced to my first clinical experience at the University of Miami Hospital. I attended once a week, from 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM. I was placed in the Medical Surgical unit. I had first hand experience to many different types of patients' conditions. I conducted thorough patient assessments, wound care, vital signs, and medication administration. I also assisted patients with ADL's, ambulation, and inserting foley catheters. I am grateful for the hands-on experience that I practiced during this semester.
