I’ve had the privilege of working with TCTC, an organization dedicated to supporting children and young adults who have experienced deep trauma due to displacement and loss for many years. At the heart of our mission is the belief in healing through trust, and I’ve been honored to help guide these young people toward rebuilding it.

In our camps, we offer more than just shelter—we provide a safe space where participants can begin to heal. Through activities like art, nature walks, gardening, and equine therapy, we nurture both emotional and physical recovery. The horses, many of whom have themselves survived abuse and neglect, play a key role in the process. Their resilience becomes a living example of trust and recovery for the children and young adults we serve.

It’s a deeply personal experience for me, as I’ve witnessed firsthand how these young people begin to trust again, not only in others but also in themselves. I believe in the power of connection, and being a part of their journey has reinforced my commitment to supporting those in need and giving back to those who have faced unimaginable challenges.
