I am currently employed as a Site Leader at Little Chico Creek Elementary School, where I am responsible for managing a group of third- and fourth-grade children. My responsibilities are as follows:
Due to having to move back up to Chico for college, I am no longer able to work full-time in this position, but I am still an employee. As the Human Resources Clerk, I supported the head of Human Resources with various administrative tasks. Consistently, I was responsible for overseeing and organizing confidential files with accuracy and discretion. Additionally, I managed correspondence over email and the phone as a representative of Gustine Unified School District. I updated documents and assigned units to employees.
As a member of Chico State's chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, I participated in various community service and advocacy opportunities. This includes their Walk for Talk to spread awareness for laryngeal dystonia, Walk for Alzheimer's, and volunteering at the Autism Fair. As a member, I was also able to further my education through attending the 16th Annual NSSLHA Conference: Empowering Communication with AAC.
