Started as a Paraeducator for Amergis Healthcare Staffing Agency and did training to be a Behavioral Technician. I've worked with students elementary to middleschool in the Rochester, NH school district. I have CPR certification. The role of a BT was consisted of helping students with Autism. Being a teachers assistant. Helping students with everyday care and learning. Being understanding, supportive, and patient to help my students have a better school career. Comfort and redirection with physical students. Team efforts and building life skills for teachers and for students. Doing manding and imitation programs to help nonverbal students communicate without an AAC device. Providing and ensuring parents that students had a successful day.
