My name is Kaitlyn Alcazar, and I currently work as a Teacher’s Assistant at Bertrand Elementary, supporting students from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. In this role, I’ve developed strong communication skills, the ability to think quickly on my feet, and effective classroom management techniques. I’ve also discovered a passion for teaching and have become highly adaptable in various work environments.
In addition to my experience in education, I am a student at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), working toward my Bachelor of Science degree. Through my coursework, I’ve gained hands-on experience working with adults without disabilities and have become proficient in manual resistance and manual flexibility exercises. These skills have strengthened my foundation in physical health and human movement, aligning with my ultimate goal of becoming a Physical Therapist.
I’m passionate about helping others improve their quality of life and excited to continue developing the skills necessary to succeed in the field of physical therapy.
Competing at the state level taught me the value of perseverance, goal-setting, and teamwork. It was a defining moment that pushed me beyond my limits and showed me how dedication and hard work can lead to high-level achievement. This experience not only shaped my athletic career but also strengthened the work ethic and resilience I carry into all areas of my life today.
