Citizen Science Undergraduate Research Intern

- Participated in research focused on flood hazards in Central Texas and their socio-economic and environmental impacts on vulnerable communities.
- Collected and analyzed historical and current surface water data to identify high-risk flood zones and estimate “tipping points” for at-risk neighborhoods.
- Conducted community surveys and stakeholder analyses to assess socioeconomic challenges caused by flooding.
- Utilized data analysis and modeling to predict risks and guide mitigation strategies for residents and businesses.
- Created survey instruments, managed informed consent, and organized project data for accurate reporting.
- Presented findings to KXAN News and community members, improving public awareness and communication.
