  • Executed medical clinics in rural villages: Each community member was seen by a doctor and nurse. They were given medication if needed, and also offered individualized prayer.
  • Packaged and handed out food bags and hygiene kits.
  • Went to various villages providing families with tangible needs such as food and clothing. We also spread the Gospel.
  • Educated individuals on proper hygiene, treating each other with respect despite the gender, and how to get purify water.
  • Medical rescue: took a 22 year old women who was bedridden due to abscessed scabies to the hospital.
  • Went to an elderly home: played La Loteria (Bingo), gave them hygiene kits, prayed for them, and listened to their stories.
  • Completed multiple home visits for children who were reunited with biological family after being in family style orphan care.
  • Spent time swimming and going for walks with a teenage girl that my family sponsors.

  • Interned with missionary nurse at the main hospital/ nutrition clinic.
  • Worked in the hospital/nutritional clinic: charting, feeding tube cleaning/changing. I also fed babies, administered their medication, and prayed for the moms and the babies.
  • Went on a baby/child rescue: 11 month old boy,6 year old twin girls and a 2 year old boy. Along with their case manager, I went to their village. We gave the family water filters, educated them on proper hygiene, brought the children and their moms to the hospital/nutritional clinic, took their vitals, charted, helped to create a nutritional plan and started implementing the plan.
  • I gave pre-op and post-op care for cleft palate surgery that was sponsored by Smile Train.
