I am interested in learning, connecting and creating dialogue through all means of communication and art. I want to start my career in mental health counseling and in the future open up my own clinic that will offer two distinct approaches: clinical therapy and alternative therapies.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot custom websites used for property listings
Assist with the integration and customization of third-party software applications (e.g., MLS, accounting software) to streamline real estate operations and reporting.
Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues for all office employees, reducing downtime and improving overall team efficiency.
I taught hand drums and mentored inner city and troubled youth through the non-profit organization. Our goals were to reach harmony and structure through drumming while providing a strong positive influence in the children's lives as well as their families lives.
I worked directly with the founder of the organization, who is a licensed Social Worker, eventually took over the program in 2017 – 2018 as Executive Director. We also reached out to various children centers, schools, hospitals and organizations in the Denver area to introduce our program and run workshops. (I.E., Denver Children's Home, Children's Hospital, Judi's House to name a few) and presented our program at the Aurora Mental Health Conference varies times talking about the positive effects of drumming
Prepared materials and classrooms for class activities.
Taught socially acceptable behavior, employing techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement. Developed and implemented strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of handicapping conditions. (Autism and various learning disabilities)
Conferred with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and professionals, we develop individual educational plans designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social development. Guided and counseled students with adjustment, academic problems, or special academic interests. Instructed students in daily living skills required for independent maintenance and self-sufficiency, such as hygiene, safety, and food preparation.
Provided direct care and emotional support to young individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges, fostering a positive and therapeutic environment.
Assisted them in daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, meals, schoolwork), promoting independence while ensuring safety and well-being. Observed and documented client behaviors, progress, and incidents in detailed case notes to present to the therapists and supervisors. Provided crisis intervention and support during challenging situations to ensure client safety, and maintain therapeutic boundaries. During my time there, I won an award for being a “cool cucumber” under challenging and stressful situations, and I was counted on various times to de-escalate those challenging interactions.
