- As well as the Georgia Transmission Control Center to schedule work and assist with storm restoration
- Responsible for transferring knowledge to junior and less experienced Substation Maintenance workers.

- I learned the basic tools and knowledge of how to construct a distribution utility line in Habersham EMC’s service territory
- I was responsible for maintaining good housekeeping on the bucket truck, and on the job site
- I stocked truck with daily materials needed
- After gaining basic knowledge and skills of line worker, I was promoted to a Derrick Truck Operator
- This job involved hauling poles to the job, framing new poles, operating various hydraulic tools, installing pole guy anchors, and digging holes for poles to be placed in
- After 1.5 years of increased responsibilities and knowledge, I was placed on a bucket truck with a Journeyman Lineman to start learning how to safely construct a power line from the air
- With this promotion to Apprentice Lineman, I was taught how to reading distribution construction drawings
- I learned how to obtain Hotline Tags, hold clearances, and ground de-energized lines
- I learned how to safely cover up energized parts of the line that were within M.A.D of what was to be worked on.
