  • Monitored mammal populations at Coal Oil Point Reserve using camera traps to identify species and determine concentration in specific habitats
  • Collected, identified, and sorted mammal images/data based on the location of the camera trap
  • Monitored 15 reptile cover boards dispersed across the preserve to track reptile species populations and concentration
  • Data identification and collection of reptile species and richness in 15 separate habitats

Mega-carcass Research Assistant

Monitoring animal populations and diversity in Kruger National Park, South Africa, by examining camera trap footage to identify and determine species, sex, quantity, and specific behaviors exhibited

Input camera trap data into a larger Rstudio dataset to analyze ecological patterns of various geo-referenced elephant mega-carcasses over different time spans

Contribute to larger Mega-carcass Legacy Effects projects which work to determine the ecological effects of large mammal carcasses on terrestrial ecosystems by examining carbon: nitrogen ratios, plant productivity, herbivore and invertebrate activity, bone dispersal, and decomposition rates.
