With this certification I had residents that lived me full time, that I cared for daily for many years. I had to adhere to strict standards and rules, while also being able to adapt daily to the needs and behaviors of those I cared for. I held this job for 18 years, passing my recertification each and every year. My job responsibilities were broad and ever changing. Some of my duties were:
*Physical care of disabled adults.
*Following care plan designed for each resident.
*Teaching daily life skills.
*Dispensing and documenting daily medications.
*Obtaining medication certification.
*Maintaining CPR/First Aid certification.
*Managing resident funds and keeping precise records of their financials.
