  • Serves as a member of the Planning Department's negotiating team, as appropriate, in the presentation of specific proposals, activities and projects; Reviews public and private sector publications, such as the Federal Register, Grants.Gov and other Internet access for potential funding to meet the needs identified in the Strategic Plan; Serves as a liaison for the Fort Belknap Community Council in maintaining a working relationship with other entities in both the private and public sector
  • Assists in preparing monthly department reports to council and assists with annual reports to EDA.
  • Targets sufficient number of proposal prospects for grant writer assignments.
  • Assists with extensive program/agency/entity profiles; Assists in the preparation of data relating to local manpower, social, economic and environmental factors; prepares complex budgets for grant proposals; Assists with development and designs presentation graphics associated with planning initiatives, grant development, and key grant-funded activities of the department.
    • Assists in the design, development and maintenance of online tools that support grant development such as electronic survey's needed to gather input of the diverse tribal population, posting documents on tribal website for public comment periods, etc. Analyses and resolves programming and database problems pertaining to issues associated with research and planning
