As a phlebotomist at LifeSouth, my role is to safely and efficiently collect blood from donors while providing a positive and reassuring experience. I am responsible for performing donor health screenings, checking vital signs, and ensuring each donor meets eligibility requirements before collection. During the donation process, I perform venipuncture, monitor donor comfort and safety, and accurately label and handle blood products according to strict regulatory standards. I also maintain a clean and compliant work area and work closely with my team to support mobile blood drives and donor centers. Overall, my role directly supports LifeSouth’s mission by helping maintain a safe and reliable blood supply for patients in need.
