· Assist with the management and direction of daily operations within outpatient treatment programs serving men and women with co-occurring mental health and addiction issues.

· Have an understanding and can apply a variety of models and theories of addiction and other problems related to substance use.

· Provide critical, direct client therapeutic counseling clinical services and assessment services in a MICD program

· Familiarity with MN Rule 245G and the NUWAY House Policies and Procedures Manual as they relate to client services, client records and personnel

· Have an understanding and an application of specific policies and procedures for handling crisis or dangerous situations, including safety measure for clients and staff

· Provide individual management/file documentation for assigned caseload, noting all treatment related activities and service in an accurate, professional and timely manner including assessment of substance use and mental health problems, creating and monitoring individualized treatment plans, providing group therapy and individual counseling services to individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues

· Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic process groups regarding the disease of addiction and the recovery process consistent with maintaining mental health

· Provide critical, direct client therapeutic counseling clinical services and assessment services in a MICD program

· Possesses a high level of crisis tolerance, can work through crisis situations in a professional, therapeutic and positive manner

· Familiarity with MN Rule 245G and the NUWAY House Policies and Procedures Manual as they relate to client services, client records and personnel

· Experience in and/or knowledge of diverse practice settings
