I was a Radiology Technician Aid in the breast imaging department for a little over 7 years. My responsibilities were to assist the radiologist by mounting the images on to the reading boards. I would keep their most needed essentials close by and readily available like image request pads, red pencils, pens, and most importantly the patients files in order. I would prepare the ultrasound room by adding the patients information on the ultrasound machine, keeping sheets, towels, and ultrasound gel fully stocked every time, and finally putting the patient in the room and position them ready to scan. I would help out the front desk with checking in patients and helping them make new appointments. I would also walk back patients have them change into the gown and provide each patient with a locker for their belongings. I would help out the technicians by assisting patients with their medical history forms. I am a certifies Spanish interpreter so i would assists with interpretation all around the department.
