Karissa Cleveringa

Since becoming a women's gymnastics judge, I have taken multiple challenging tests, worked alongside and under experienced judges, and traveled to different competitions to officiate. My role requires sharp attention to detail, quick decision-making, and the ability to apply strict scoring standards under pressure. I’ve learned through hands-on experience, adapting to different competition settings and continuously improving my skills. This job has strengthened my ability to work in fast-paced environments, communicate effectively, and stay focused under pressure.

Since 2020, I have worked seasonally at Beacon Hill 2, managing a crew, operating machinery, and working with fruit packers to keep the orchard running smoothly. My role involves hands-on tasks in the field, problem-solving, and teamwork to ensure a successful harvest. This experience has given me a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment while collaborating with others to get the job done.

I worked both on the sales floor and behind the counter at White Trail Produce, a local market specializing in fresh, locally sourced goods. I assisted customers in finding products, provided knowledgeable recommendations, and ensured a welcoming shopping experience. My responsibilities included stocking shelves, managing inventory, and handling transactions. I also worked closely with local farmers, gaining firsthand experience with farm-to-table operations. Working full-day shifts, I developed strong customer service skills and a solid work ethic in a fast-paced retail environment.
