Job Duties

• Performing daily engine checkouts and maintenance on two type 1 engines and one type 3 engine along with ensuring all equipment and apparatuses are working properly.
• Station maintenance and cleaning with high standards.
• Proficient in utilizing the emergency reporting program, by logging in and reporting the details of emergency calls.
• To respond to all risk incidents and be able to mitigate all hazards in a timely and professional manner, such as (Structure Fires, Wildland Fires, Traffic Collisions, Medical Aids, Public Assists, Low Angle Rope Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Vehicle Fires, and Fire Alarms sounding in Commercial Occupancies.
• Maintain a County Air Trailer, by making sure inventory is correct, and knowledge on how to properly use every piece of equipment.
• Understand and use mutual and automatic aid agreements with the City of Weed Fire Department.
• To provide public education on fire prevention and protection.
• Maintaining the county confined space trailer along with being on the confined space rescue team.
