The main task of the pin chaser is to make sure that all bowling machines function at their full capacity by doing a slew of activities, which include, but are not limited to, daily and monthly cleanings, lubing of machines, and working out any problems the machines have within my capabilities. There is also a very thorough mental, hands-on, and safety training time period.

As a porter lead, you're expected to perform the regular tasks of a porter, which include everything from basic cleaning and other daily tasks to active problem-solving using learned customer service techniques to a higher level. In addition, you're expected to monitor and maintain a high level of efficiency from all other porters by managing and working alongside them.

I got trained on every aspect of the dish pit, which included rinsing, thoroughly washing all sorts of dishes and utensils, sanitizing everything that couldn't go through the dishwasher, and making sure everything is dry before organizing it in the proper place so that it is once again ready for use and up to safety standards.
