During the period spanning August 5-12, 2023, I actively participated in my second medical mission (first was in 2018) trip organized by Cornerstone Chapel in collaboration with World Gospel Outreach. This transformative experience took place in Honduras, where I contributed to a comprehensive range of healthcare initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the local population.
My responsibilities during the mission encompassed addressing oral hygiene concerns, conducting general physical examinations and facilitating access to essential pharmaceutical drugs under the supervision of licensed Physicians. I also installed many water filters in homes, and provided comprehensive mental health services alongside licensed social workers. Engaging with the diverse healthcare needs of the community underscored my commitment to humanitarian efforts and strengthened my capacity to deliver compassionate and effective care in resource-limited environments. This experience further honed my skills in interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural competence, and adaptability within the realm of global healthcare.
