  • Co-Investigator, Master's Thesis Research, Department of Human Development and Family Studies, University of Rhode Island, 2012, 2013, Under the supervision of my advisor, Jaime Dice, I used the National Center for Education Statistics Early Childhood Longitudinal Study-Birth Cohort (ECLS-B) dataset to analyze the relationship between attachment status and self-regulation skills in preschoolers. This project required planning and organizing my research methodology, conducting the analyses using SPSS, reviewing my results and defending my results to my thesis committee.
  • Teaching and Research Assistant, Department of Human Development and Family Studies, University of Rhode Island, 2011, 2013, During my graduate assistantship at the University of Rhode Island, I was assigned to assist both Drs. Sue Adams and Barbara Newman with research and teaching undergraduate courses. Duties included collecting and grading term papers, tracking attendance, reviewing online discussion boards, organizing group projects, and occasional guest lecturing.
  • Co-Investigator, Honors Thesis Research, Department of Psychology, East Carolina University, 2010, 2011, Under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Reed at East Carolina University, I designed a research study to measure the relationship between children's' Socioeconomic Status and survival memory skills. My research included direct contact with children ages 8-11 in Greenville, North Carolina. With IRB approval, I collected survey data from low and high SES families and used a computer based word memory task to determine survival memory skills.
