Therapy K9 Handler:

• Trained with K9 to: Expand community and police relationships, deploy K9 on calls for service for community members in need, and enhance mental health of first responders

Police Training Officer:

• Train newly hired officers to learn all aspects of the job and empower them to settle into new role
• Conduct paperwork, edit reports/other documents, and ensure safety during beginning stages of learning

Peer Mentor/Peer Support Team:

• Assist peers within different units of the department adjust into the agency, help set/achieve career goals, provide support in home life/mental health

UW Criminal Justice Coordinator:

• Connect criminal justice or other similar programs with UWPD to form cohesive partnerships, assist in UWPD internships, and work specifically supporting women entering law enforcement career

Recruitment Team:

• Work with team to create innovative ideas to recruit for all positions within UWPD
• Attend monthly meetings, partake in student organization/career fairs, host events, and amend hiring process for most efficient hiring and retention

Resident Hall Liaison:

• Connect with community in residence halls to build relationships with police, collaboratively solve problems, and better students' college experience

Ride Along Coordinator:

• Conduct background checks and pair officers with community members as they request ride alongs
• Handle preservation of records, equitable work sharing, and work/life balance of officers

• Prioritize, multi task, and problem solve in stressful situations to provide the proper response efficiently to members of the community
• Work with other dispatchers, officers, and University stakeholders in order to solve conflicts in and around campus.
• Created 911 education program to educate public and frequent callers about common questions, protocol, and safety concerns about calling 911
• Made more effective solution to emergency phone testing on campus to make police department, campus trades, and public safety more efficient.

• Strategically interview students from the University who have been transported to detox about their prior drinking habits, experiences in the detox or hospital facility, and their reflections of their incident.
• Create reports and identify patterns in student drinking trends and assist the UWPD and University to develop constructive action plans to address issues located
• Demonstrate compassion during interviews and provide resources to individuals who expressed mental health concerns or traumatic events during interview
