My experience as an afterschool substitute has provided a strong foundation for my pursuit of a graduate degree in communication sciences and disorders. In this role, I refined skills in creating supportive environments for children some with diverse developmental needs and encouraging social interaction among peers. This hands-on experience enhanced my ability to observe and address developmental differences, reinforcing my commitment to helping individuals overcome communication challenges. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the critical role of tailored interventions, aligning with my academic and professional goals in the field.
