I graduated high school with a 4.35 GPA as the Vice President of our school's chapter of HOSA (Health Occupational Students of America). I was accepted into James Madison University in August of 2023 and earned a spot on the Dean's List in the fall semester and am currently on my way to achieving it again this current semester. I am a nursing major with the goal of obtaining my BSN in May of 2027. I have also completed numerous volunteer opportunities. Namely, Camp Follow the Leader, in July of 2022, where I assisted in summer day camp for children with special needs, aged 6-10, who have physical, sensory, emotional, social, and/or developmental challenges.
My name is Katherine, although I am called Kat by most. I love to work with people to help others and gain deep satisfaction from seeing how the care I provide, both professional and emotional, makes an impact on not only patients, but also the families and the whole care team. Nursing is my passion and I cannot wait to progress on my journey.
