Laredo Autism Center and Kids Rehab/ Therapatitos

  • I completed 40 hours in this workplace. I was able to analyze different methods on how to approach various situations. Such as, preventing falls, strengthening, balance, and coordination. Some exercises that helped improve these patients were single leg stance, sit-ups, wall sits, core exercises. They used balls of different colors, circles, pins to help them visualize as well as communicating with the patient.

Orthopedic Physical Therapy

  • I completed 35 hours in this workplace. Patient would come in to improve their coordination, strength, mobility, and prevention of falls. In this facility they worked with different types of age groups. Adolescents, adults, and elderly people. Communication is a skill they implemented in this facility for critical thinking, patient rapport, and interdisciplinary teams.
