Working for an independent tour company in Big Sky, MT that tailors privates tours in Yellowstone National Park. I shared the world's first national park with visitors by enhancing their experience through education and knowledge of the area. The client would choose from different options of tours offered, and as a guide, I customized the tour with client preferences such as hiking, geothermal tours, waterfalls or spotting animals. Duties included stocking coolers from the caterer, cleaning and preparing the van for the day, setting up picnics, picking up and dropping off clients from their lodging and most importantly keeping a keen eye out for animals.

I assisted in improving my client's quality of life by providing compassionate and personalized care in their homes. Duties like preparing meals for clients and their family, respite care for caretakers, caring for plants and animals, grocery shopping, or driving clients for needs outside of the home.

I enhanced patient safety by following surgical protocols and maintaining accurate documentation. Supported efficient patient flow through the perioperative process, accurately documenting all relevant information at each stage of care, using preoperative checklist and postoperative discharge criteria scoring tools. Demonstrated exceptional time management skills by prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Being flexible to rotate between the areas of the department where the needs are the greatest. Collaborating with team members for best patient outcomes.

I worked in the preoperative, postoperative and preadmission testing areas of the Hospital Surgery Department. Preparing patients for inpatient and outpatient procedures and surgery. Some duties included drawing labs, placing IVs, physical assessments throughout the perioperative stages, wound care, and teaching. Collaborated with nurses, medical doctors and auxiliary team members to provide care to the patient. Worked as a Charge nurse in the postoperative setting where the role included leading the staff in the postoperative setting and arranging staffing for the following work day. I also assisted the Pediatric Oncologist with Pediatric Lumbar Punctures and Spinraza procedures. I served as the Safety Liaison for the department for eleven years.

I functioned as a float pool nurse in the following areas: Cardiovascular Unit, Medical Floor, Surgical Floor and Psychiatric Unit. I was flexible with my assignments which required rotating to the different areas and developed varied specialty nursing skills.

I functioned as a Cardiac Care Nurse for the telemetry monitored patient. My patient population included stroke patients, cardiac patients, post procedure and surgical patients. I was trained in ACLS and certified a PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse).

I worked in the rural health care setting serving as House Supervisor in charge of night shifts and as Charge Nurse during day shifts. My role included caring for the acute to chronic patient population. As a rural care nurse, I functioned as an Emergency, Hospital, Hospice, Transitional Care, and Labor and Delivery nurse.
