I started with simple Commercial analysis which entailed labeling of each commercial, detailing the data entry by dialogue, and many other duties. However, by the end of my position I held a team of four pupils under me and we worked together as a team. It was a wonderful experience but unfortunately the position ended with over 10,000 layoffs in 2024.

• I started off at Linda's Wine & Liquor, working in stocking our inventory and learning about each product
• My boss felt it was very important to learn about the products we carry & where each one belongs, as to learn quickly and to be able answer customers questions- being the ultimate goal
• Which definitely indeed helped me immensely as I went along with my training
• As I continued with the company and learned about each particular item we sold, as it was very important to learn about the different products we sell, I moved my way up into helping customers and offering great customer service
• I then moved up to also add in cashiering to my job duties, and I also eventually started worked the lotto machine
• I really enjoyed my time there, because it was a small franchise (of only 2 stores), and we started to grow close like a little family
• I worked well with my teammates and as my time went on there and others had left, I gained trust and even trained a few of the newer employees
• I would close on most weekdays and open on every Saturday morning, and clean the entire store before opening/closing
• I have came to really love my job so much, that I started taking that extra initiative and started buying and supplying extra office supplies for the store, like new pricing signs that I would create on my own for our newer displays
• I also was asked to start doing advertising on our social media websites, and I even started making great new marketing contacts which we also started to utilize to expand our stores brand
• I would make sure the store was always in order, and I became so dedicated to the company, I even started to treat it as my own, and every holiday I would go and purchase decorations to decorate the store with
• I loved to decorate and the customers absolutely loved how beautiful the store would look and gave tremendous compliments
• I added stockings along the counter with each Employees names, and It was just an added touch, & I believe it showed how truly close, dedicated and amazing we are as a Work family
• We offered amazing customer service as we would also take down Any customers requests if we didn't carry that particular item in stock, we would order it, and I would call our customers up personally to inform them it was now in stock
• All of these little touches helped to set us apart and kept our great customers coming back even more!
• I learned many genius Marketing techniques from working there, as well as my time in School
• And I truly would still be there today if it wasn't for COVID-19
• I ended up having to leave, because I still live with my elderly parents and could not take the risk any longer
• Before I left in May of last year, they stayed as long as I could and I helped my boss put up clear plastic partitions around the registers, I designed 'Wear your Masks Please' signs on both of the front and back doors to be visible to our public before ones were even given out
• I feel I did as much as I could before being forced to leave, as my own home family's health just wasn't worth risking
• I worked very hard for that company, and I absolutely loved working there, and even thought of it more than just a job, I was extremely dedicated, and loved my teammates and my bosses, and thought of us as a family
• Angelo, owner and my former boss, had taught me so much, and I am very thankful for the opportunity
• Before Covid-19 hit, I was even in talks with him to start taking on even more responsibilities & possible become a Manager or Asst
• As he was possibly going to open a third store, so he looked to me
• I will be forever grateful for all of the skills, knowledge and the importance of creating long-lasting relationships between customers AND Contacts in Business that he taught me
• When a customer can choose your store (or company) or another- I learned they will choose your Place of Business, more times than not- but for the long lasting Relationships you build together
• And with that loyalty and trust you show and build together, they tend to be life long consumers
• I'm a dedicated, loyal and hard working person
• I love working as a team rather than a loner, and I'm a fast learner
