In this role, I have provided comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers and their families. This includes prenatal care, assisting during labor and delivery, and postpartum care. My responsibilities involve monitoring the health of both the mother and infant throughout this process. I utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to identify potential complications early on, thereby allowing timely intervention. I think education is crucial, especially for new parents, thus ensuring they feel confident in their ability to care for their newborn.

Antepartum- Caring for pregnant women with hypertension, diabetes, preterm rupture of membrane and pre-eclampsia

Labour& Delivery- Monitoring women in labor, induction of labor and augmentation of labor.

Postpartum- Educating on care of the newborn and assisting mothers with breastfeeding and proper latching technique. Assessing the mother for postpartum depression.

During this time, I gained extensive experience in providing direct patient care across various departments. I have developed strong clinical skills that have allowed me to respond effectively to the needs of my patients. My experience in the ER has honed my critical thinking skills and helped me remain calm under pressure.

Medical, Surgical, and ER.

• Monitored vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration rate, pulse rate, and weight; administered medications and monitored effects; provided wound care; and performed IV therapy.
• Adhered to infection control procedures, as per facility protocol.
• Assisting with discharge, thereby educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. Ensure patients understand follow-up care, and all appointments are made.
• Worked successfully with coworkers and other members of the health care team to accomplish positive patient outcomes.
