Quality Assurance Coordinator

Initially brought on to be the Early Intervention Coordinator for the Felix Consent Decree. Once the decree was settled, transitioned to Child Outcomes Coordinator, which grew into a Quality Assurance Coordinator. This is part of the Systems Improvement section, responsible for monitoring of our statewide programs that provide services to children ages 0-3 who have developmental and/or biological risks for delays. Responsible for both the child and family outcomes data, which includes collaborating with both state and nationwide partners to determine if services provided are making a difference in the lives of our children and families.

Felix Coordinator

As part of the Felix Consent Decree, The Department of Education was under a Federal Consent Decree, brought about by a lawsuit by a family of a child in the Department of Education. My primary responsibility included monitoring educational complexes statewide. This entailed reviewing student records and interviewing all individuals that are part of the child's IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan for Early Intervention) or IEP (Individualized Education Plan for DOE students receiving special education services). Data was rolled up into a Complex Report, with strengths, challenges and recommendations for improvement.

    My responsibilities with Early Intervention has encompassed a variety of roles that requires a high degree of collaboration with all of our state programs, provide support and guidance to meet federal requirements, and provide data as part of our Annual Performance Report to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) I am responsible for the statewide Family Outcomes Survey, ensuring compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as gathering and reviewing program specific data for their Corrective Action Plans As part of the Systems Improvement Unit, I also work closely with my colleagues on creating and conducting trainings for both our programs, as well as new hires

Interests

I have always had a passion for travel, and love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures and experiences As I near retirement, I am excited at the prospect of starting the next chapter of my life and share my love of travel with others My organizational skills, strong communication skills, and ability to problem-solve will be highly beneficial to creating positive and memorable travel experiences for all of our travelers Being a part of Non-Stop Travel would give me the opportunity to be share my love of travel with new friends and help them create lasting memories
