  • Performs duties as a Property Disposal Specialist for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).
  • Responsible for the disposal of excess FLETC property.
  • Ensures that excess property is reported for disposal through reutilization, transfer, donation, or sales.
  • Responsible for data entry of excess property in the Inventory Management System.
  • Coordinates, prepares paperwork and arranges for shipment/pick-up of excess personal property being transferred, donated, sold, abandoned, or destroyed for FLETC Glynco, Artesia, Cheltenham, and Charleston.
  • Ensures that computers and related property are disposed of through the Computers for Learning Program.
  • Inspect the property and determine if the property has little or no sales value for downgrade to scrap.
  • Processes all Standard Form-122 and Standard Form-123 associated with transfers and donations of excess property.
  • Responsible for disposing of brass casings and preparing the sale description for GSA to sell the brass casings for FLETC.
  • Assists partner organizations in residence at the FLETC with the disposal of their accountable and non-accountable excess personal property.
  • Receives personal property, scrap, and salvage items via Survey Report and Property Accounting Change Report forms.
  • I identify, segregate, display, and take photos of personal property for sale via the GSA website.
  • Maintains FLETC Inventory Program and receipt of new equipment.
  • Assists property custodians in maintaining inventories and reconciling inventories.
  • Processes transfers of accountable property and location changes using the Financial Accounting & Budget System(FABS/Momentum) for all activity codes, including FLETC and all partner organizations that use FLETC equipment.
  • Responsible for the tagging of all new equipment.
  • Ensures that transfers and disposal transactions that change the contents of the master inventory are made to the FABS.
  • Responsible for the coordination of physical inventories.
  • Review all reports, including exception and reconciliation reports, for accuracy and completeness.
  • I am responsible for maintaining electronic and manual records that track all accountable property by entries into the master inventory program.
  • I maintain records from the date of acquisition to final disposition to include all transactions in between.
  • In 2009, I was part of the Property Management Division team, which won two prestigious national awards: the Miles Romney Achievement Award for Innovation in Personal Property Management and the Gold Star Award for the Computers for Learning Program.

  • Requested access and provided training to state cooperators and field offices in the FEPP program and the various programs they use to research and freeze excess Federal property through GSA Xcess and the proper documentation needed to obtain the property.
  • I was instrumental in implementing a new property accounting system, the Federal Excess Property Management Information System (FEPMIS).
  • I evaluated the effectiveness and responsiveness of the system and worked with the Washington Office on updates and modifications to the program.
  • In June 2003, I was awarded the prestigious Miles Romney Achievement Award for innovation in Personal Property Management as part of a team of five.
