My roles there varied from day to day. I work with the ladies directly for breast care items - bras, breast prosthesis & lymphedema sleeves, gauntlets and gloves. Assisted with placing orders each Friday. checking in the product orders when they arrive, then separating the orders. Call to follow up to schedule appointments for them to try on the items that were ordered for them or to ship the order to them. I was here only temporarily because it was closer to home for me & cut my travel time in half and saved money on gas for me as well.

I was brought in specifically to set up a completely new Mastectomy fitting department along with my knowledge & expertise of the medical supply business. Made appointments, saw the patients & did the fittings.

I was highly recommended to this owner by a former mastectomy sales rep I had worked with for many years in my personal family business. He knew that I missed doing mastectomy fittings & that I was interested in getting back into doing fittings again. Unfortunately I had to leave because of the travel time as it usually took me 45 minutes to one hour each direction & the gas was very expensive as well.

I was brought in for my extensive knowledge in the medical supply business by one of their former retired employees that had known me for over 25 years. I brought in & started an ostomy department at their store. In the 2 1/2 years that I was employed there, I brought in over $200K in retail sales along with taking care of their established customers in any capacity. Most of my former customers followed me over there because we had established a great connection & they trust me explicitly!

I helped customers in person, on the phone & by emails. I love working with the customers to take care of their special needs & their satisfaction is my top priority.

I worked for my parents in our family businesses, a pharmacy with a small medical department inside. I worked part time until graduating college, then I was full time continuing to learn about all aspects of our business. Over the years, I went to numerous trainings & have certifications in ostomy, mastectomy fittings, compression stockings (ready to wear & custom) & burn garments.

In 1989, we moved to another location, out of our pharmacy, to expand our retail medical supply business to it's own location, where I became a Managing Partner. I have done every job imaginable for the day to day runnings of our family business.

• Established & maintained a loyal customer base, referrals from Kaiser doctors & had contracts for their patients needs, but especially through personalized customer experiences. My customers were like extended family to me throughout the years!

We closed our medical supply business a couple of years after my Dad passed away. It was a very difficult decision & has been challenging for me since then. I really miss the medical field & that's why I'm wanting to get back with the patients again! I love to help people & miss the interactions!
