Work History

Starbucks Barista/Bakery Clerk

QFC Belfair 101
01.2021 - 09.2025
  • A key part of my career has been food safety, considering I was handling drinks and baked goods in both departments. Ensuring my work station was organized and clean was important, wanting customers to have a safe experience in our store.
  • Efficiency and a sense of rhythm was a skill that I adapted into my skillset over the years of working there. Working as a barista especially has helped me develop my time management skills, being able to handle stressful situations more easily. During the moments where it felt like the line was never ending, I gained the ability to keep a level head and keep my workspace organized while maintaining an efficient pace.
  • Teamwork is a crucial skill to have in a job such as a bakery and starbucks, which I have gotten to practice much in the past few years. Working here was my first job ever, and admittedly I was shy when I started. As I grew more comfortable in my surroundings, I found teamwork was a very important and crucial part of my workplace. Being able to get things done in a timely manner and properly requires a team, and my ability to work well with others is one I am proud of.
  • Maintained cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Managed cash register operations, including processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborated with team members to optimize workflow during peak hours, enhancing customer experience.
  • Resolved customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Promoted a welcoming atmosphere by greeting customers with a friendly demeanor and promptly addressing their needs.

Starbucks Manager

QFC Belfair
01.2023 - 01.2025
  • In my time working as a Starbucks barista, I had the opportunity to become the manager of the kiosk. This chance has led me to the chance to improve my leadership skills, which is something I find helpful during stressful situations. My ability to divide and conquer work created an efficient workspace as well as one that relied on teamwork, creating an environment that was beneficial for all.
  • One of the struggles that came with leadership was unpredictable moments, which called for improvising. Being able to improvise and overcome obstacles while remaining calm ties in with my teamwork and leadership abilities, allowing me to help guide others through those moments. I was someone reliable to my team, someone they could lean on for guidance and I kept the team organized and strong. Having a confident and reliable manager, allows the team to be just as strong.

I started working at QFC while I was still in High School, wanting something to do with my free time as a fully online student. Covid was hard on me as a high schooler, and getting a job and getting out more fully altered my life for the better. As I’ve grown as a person and my skills improved with it, I gained the courage to go to university and pursue my dreams. I don’t want to stick to just one job forever though, and I wish to expand my skillset by working in other positions while I go through my next few years of education.
