To Whom it may concern,
I am pleased to be writing today regarding my application for the 0.8 Registered Nurse Position on 4 South. Currently I am a 4th semester nursing student at Moraine Park Technical College. Prior to that, I have dedicated the past 21 years to my nursing career, 11 of which I have worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse. During that time, I worked on the Medicare unit at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation where I was responsible for admitting, assessing, planning and implementing and evaluating nursing care for 12 patients at a time. During that time I cared for patients with various medical conditions such as trauma, injuries, fractures, post surgical, stroke and spinal cord injuries.
Currently I am working in long - term care where I get the opportunity each day to care for patients who are in the last stages of their life, so I do everything in my power to make sure their last years/months/days are special. I have formed great relationships with my patients and their families. In my most recent job review, my supervisor described me as being a "god send" to the villa because of the exceptional care I provide. My proficiencies at the villa include leadership and supervision of CNA's, assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for my patients, collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners and hospice staff to assure exceptional patient care and outcomes.
My background has molded me to be exceptionally organized, calm, and patient in all that I do. I pride myself in forming a trusting bond with my patients and their families. I believe in good collaboration and team work in the workplace and I always lead by example. I pride myself in creating a positive working environment for my peers as well.
I believe employment with SSM would be mutually beneficial, as I am seeking a challenging work environment where I can use and develop my skills to the fullest extent. Please contact me at (920)795-4710 or miwag13@gmail.com. I'd love the opportunity to discuss my skills further, and look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Kathryn Wagner
