Additional Coursework, Licenses and Certifications: In college, I explored many opportunities to study different cultures as well as their connections to art. I studied abroad in Japan for four months, lived in Spain for two months, visited France for a week, and Belgium for a day. I lead groups and organized events such as the international banquet; where a small team and I learned to make two complex dishes for a fundraiser where we fed over 360 people in the span of a few hours. I learned to lead, organize and motivate people, and events, make wake up or reminder calls, and train individuals in certain tasks. I learned how to enter data into a computer or record it on paper, adapt to new computer programs, write papers, scan documents, conduct interviews, search literature, organize paperwork, prepare presentations, and much more. After graduating I returned to Japan for four months to improve my Japanese skills and my understanding of different Asian cultures. I learned about different concepts of beauty, different ways of communicating through art, and the boundaries of intercultural communication.
