I would also help babysit my little cousins when their parents would go to work for the summer. I would love to help out my aunts and uncles when they needed to go work so I would watch over their children. I gained a lot of experience from doing taking care of them and it made me interested in working with children in the future.
I attended Hanna High School, and I would go to
Clinical experiences during my junior and senior years of high school. The clinicals would take place in Valley Regional Hospital, Brownsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Brownsville Children's Clinic, where I gained much experience and interest in my career pathway, and in helping others. During my clinicals, I was also able to work in Pediatrics which allowed me to gain knowledge in different age groups. This also helped me learn ways to interact with children in different stages of development. I gained a lot of medical knowledge and I got CPR certified, as well as learning how to take vital signs from patients, I also gained communication and critical-thinking skills from attending clinicals, as well
which has helped me tremendously ever since and help me work better with others.
